Christmas Cheer, All Year Long – Right in the Heart of Bennington

At 101 South Street in downtown Bennington, Vermont, there’s a place where it’s always twinkling, always festive, and always filled with joy. Welcome to The Gift Garden’s Holiday Cottage, a year-round Christmas and gift boutique created by Beth and Dwain Wilwol, the same local visionaries behind The Gift Garden.

Stepping inside the Holiday Cottage is like stepping into a snow globe. The scent of pine greets you at the door. A breathtaking 12-foot Christmas tree towers overhead. Twinkle lights glimmer. And the shelves are thoughtfully arranged with Old World ornaments, handcrafted décor, and heartwarming treasures that celebrate the spirit of giving, every day of the year.

“People stop in the door and smile with delight,” says Dwain.
“And the majority say that it’s really cool to have Christmas all year long.”

Half of the shop is dedicated to year-round Christmas: ornaments, Santa statuettes, permanent wreaths, snow globes, and festive accents from beloved brands like Old World Christmas, Jim Shore, and Kurt Adler. The other half of the store shifts with the seasons, showcasing spring florals, autumn coziness, and winter magic. It’s a constantly evolving wonderland, deeply rooted in the spirit of Vermont hospitality and tradition.

“You really need to stop in and experience the Magic” says Beth.

But The Holiday Cottage is more than tinsel and nostalgia, it’s a locally owned celebration of home, heart, and the magic of memory.

This is the kind of store that reminds you to slow down. To pick something up. To smile. And maybe—just maybe—take home something beautiful that keeps the magic going.

“We believe in seeing and touching the items,” Beth says.
“You really need to come in.”

Whether you’re visiting Bennington for the weekend or you’re a local looking for the perfect gift, The Gift Garden’s Holiday Cottage invites you to celebrate the seasons, cherish the moments, and carry the spirit of Christmas with you—any time of year.
